The “Perfect” Body

By Jean Laguerre | Health & Fitness

When you look in the mirror, are you happy with what you see? Or do you stare at yourself, pinching your fat away, lifting up your butt, pushing in your boobs, wishing you looked like a VS supermodel? It's hard to be content with the shape of your body when people are constantly telling you how fat you are. The backhanded compliments, the mean comments, the cyber bullying – all of this messes with us…and it hurts. What if getting flat abs and bigger boobs was as easy as a click. What if you could stop all the hate and just photoshop yourself right now, in real life? What would you change?

Please share this video to battle body shaming and cyber bullying.

I would change nothing, the world could change it’s heart.

  • Hannah Kessler says:

I have always thought I was an average size. But recently, one of my close friends told me that I should loose weight because I was fat. I can’t even explain how depressed I was after that. I’m not sure if I’ll ever feel the same about my body after the comments she made. However, I eventually realized that she was wrong, and I was beautiful no matter what anyone said. I am happy to say that I am now the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been!

    • Hannah Kessler says:

Finfante, Thank you so much for your concern and I completely agree with you. However, this was not the case in my story. I am a size 2 dancer, so I am very healthy. I think she told me I was fat because my dancing career makes my legs a little more muscular then most people’s. I dropped down to below a 00 size, and 80 pounds. Now I am a healthy 115 and a size 2 again. This might seem small, but I am 5”2 and very petite, so I am at the perfect weight as opposed to underweight. Thank you again for your concern.

    • Dani Bacon says:

      It’s happened to me

    • Jessica Lee says:

That was pretty mean of her to say so. But imagine the whole society saying you are fat. That’s what happens in China, Japan, Taiwan and Korea EVERYDAY. Instead of saying: “How have you been doing?” the first thing people say is: “I think you gained some weight. Did you eat a lot recently?” Unattainable beauty standards are what makes the whole society skinny. I gained so much weight after coming to the States, and I kind of miss that everyone is on a diet back in East Asia so even restaurants put less oil and care about calorie counts. I know now why Every East Asian that comes to America gets fat. Blame the American diet.

It doesn’t just end there. People also care about your skin colour, your job, your grades, how big your eyes are, and even your voice. I look good in East Asian standards, but my skin is tanner, so I get comments like: Did you recently go to the beach? Were you born that tanned? You should stay away from the sun” ALL THE TIME. I look more mature but my voice is cute so people say: Why is your voice like that? when I was in school all the time and I EVEN FELT BAD ABOUT MY VOICE!

Anyways, don’t be upset, there’s a another level of ruthless society pressure on the other side of the world. Just be confident in yourself, but also remember to stay healthy in terms of BMI, and stay away from friends that are too direct and comment about your body. If they want to comment, be subtle as well.

  • Kathy -Lee says:

Whoever wrote “belly fat and love handles” clearly must be blind. 0:43 shows how tiny her waist is. She is toned and slim. Whoever wrote it must be very unhappy with their life to say such nasty things. Very Pathetic person.

  • Sofía Costa says:

Why does this remind me of creating a sim?

  • RosiePosie says:

    *What would you change?*

These split ends keep coming back

  • big fat daisha says:

apparently the perfect body in 2019 is to be thick, but also really skinny at the same time.

    • Isabelle Kriebel says:

like honestly how tf do u even do that

    • •Tiara• says:

      Isabelle Kriebel By having curves…

    • Natasha St Hilaire says:

Yup, there’s no way to win

    • Angelic K says:

I have a very flat chest, pretty flat stomach and then the thickest thighs and butt in the world and then my calves are so small, but where I am from this is not the beauty standard so I am considered “fat” even though my upper body fits a small. Idk how anyone finds this attractive because it looks so disproportionate and yet Pilates didn’t help but made it worse 😔😔😔😔😔

    • •Tiara• says:

Angelic K well I’ve never heard of that body type before, but people find hourglass to be attractive. Where you have a tiny waist, flat stomach, big boobs, a big butt, and decent sized legs. Rectangle is one of the least desirable body types

  • Clainty says:

    If she is fat,

    I am snorlax from pokemon
