    Am I the only one that physically cannot do the first part of this video? It’s way too hard and really hurts my legs. Not like an exercise burn hurt, but actually hurts.

    i don’t feel the first move in my thigh but it kills my hip.. maybe I’m doing it wrong? I’m ditermined to get it right!

      Same here! I’ve got the exact same form as her. I think it’s something to do with the flexibility in your hips, and I’ve never had the best hips.

    Cassey, I just wanted to thank you! I’m 15 and I never really liked my body, but last year in the fall I lost 33 lbs but I still didn’t think I look good and young.     Is it just me that physically couldn’t do this? My hips or something we’re getting stiff or stuck and I couldn’t lift my leg!

      in another video of hers doing legs I could physically not lift my leg up in my position. So I just alternate and it still worked, I felt the burn right away

      i do notice i carry wider hips than Cassie and when she does moves similar to the ones she started with in this video, my body doesn’t respond too well. to complete the move, i had to lean forward onto an elbow. i often have to modify to make her moves “make sense” for my body. i figure as long as i’m still finding some strength training “happening” in the targeted area, in a modified position that prevents any discomfort in other areas, then I’m still getting my workout on. hope this helps! you’re not alone!

      I dont think it is about flexibility but about a certain muscle part that isnt trained so much yet. I can do splits and stuff so thats no problem, but when I had to straighten my leg and lift it at the end of the first set I could only lift is so much because it felt like there where no muscles to do the job (I train a lot but I did this exersice for the first time today)

    I cannot for the life of me get my hips to do those first few moves – they just crunch really bad and wont lift. Perhaps my body angle is wrong – anyone else?

    I used to be able to do this video with straight legs, all the way through. But now, after a spinal fusion surgery thanks to spinal cancer, I can’t even get my legs straight at 40 degrees. HOWEVER, this takes time, and I know that I’ll get back there eventually! ^_^
