@Parwin Ali good question Ali, they both start in the morning and end at night. You only eat twice a day, you lose tremendous weight in both methods.
The difference: fasting draws you closer to your creator, it purifies you, it humbles you, and if you are fortunate, it reminds you of the less privilege.
If you need To lose weight and keep it off forever, follow the sunah (The practice of Prophet Muhammad SAW): a quarter of the amount of food that usually feels you up, then drink water in moderation, and feel in air. I bet you, if you try this method for just one month, fat will be your enemy forever.
